Expedited Discovery in Microsoft Case Against Brookfield Man

Double exposure St. Joseph north pier lighthouse along shoreline of Lake Michigan with US constitution backgroundSeptember 22, 2016, United States District Judge Pamela Pepper granted Microsoft’s motion for expedited discovery in action against Brookfield man filed in Eastern District of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, alleging sale of pirated Windows license keys.  The Court denied concurrent requests for pre-judgment freeze on the defendants’ assets.  This is not surprising as this motion was heard without the defendants’ participation.  Find copy of the order here.
